Private & Offshore Customer Migration Programme

Following the merger of Halifax and Bank of Scotland, HBOS embarked on an integration programme to maximise benefits from the combined IT infrastructure. The CBS Integration programme was the final element of the Banking and Savings Integration programme, migrating approx 50,000 high net worth customers to a strategic platform. This included private and offshore banking customers. When viewed alongside the associated cost avoidance benefits this project was regarded as strategically vital and sponsored at the highest level.

Key improvements came from the use of new computer systems and supporting infrastructure. Migrated customers have access to Visa Debit functionality, improved internet access, and a series of new products launched in tandem with the migration.

LOC Consulting assumed overall IT responsibility for the programme, and in addition to the overall programme manager provided key project managers for the Visa Debit, Customer Data and migration workstreams.

LOC Consulting managed the IT delivery from end to end over a period of 11 months, and maintained excellent relations with the business stakeholders throughout. The programme delivered on time, within the available budget and with the lowest number of customer issues of any of the HBOS migrations.
