Sustainability

At LOC Consulting, we believe in the importance of protecting our environment for future generations by operating in a sustainable manner. We therefore strive to minimise our environmental impacts such as business transport, energy consumption and waste. 

LOC Sustainability Policy

LOC Consulting recognises the current global environmental challenges and supports the Government's strategy for sustainable growth.  We are committed to continual reduction of our environmental impact, pollution prevention and legal compliance.  In particular our focus is on the most significant sustainability issues:

  • Climate Change
  • Waste Management
  • Use of Water Resources

To ensure a reduced environmental impact we will:

  1. Understand and manage our environmental impact, seek then maintain ISO14001 accreditation
  2. Implement programmes to become and remain a sustainable business not just within the company but also where appropriate with our clients and partners
  3. Have zero carbon emissions, by reducing our consumption of fossil fuels (including our supply chain), substituting with renewable energy or offsetting
  4. Reduce the volume of waste we produce by increasing reuse or recycling
  5. Ensure our business activities comply with relevant environmental legislation

This policy is actively promoted throughout our organisation, and is reviewed annually.  We support our employees in good environmental practice, and seek active participation in environmental initiatives.

Progress to Date

Our sustainability programme is now developed and progressing well.  We have already:

  • Achieved ISO14001 accreditation across our business operations, ensuring we have the management systems in place to maintain our sustainability policy
  • Implemented a cycle-to-work scheme for all employees
  • Offset the greenhouse gas emissions from our business on an ongoing basis with Climate Care, who fund projects in green energy and forest restoration around the world
  • Purchased a 7 acres of woodland near Reigate as a conservation initiative
